A World of Curries
Curries have been adapted by indigenous people from all over the world, it seems there is no country that has not adopted, adapted and enjoyed curry in one form or another. A listing of cuisines by country is presented below however this may not be the best way of categorising curries. Until some spark inspires me otherwise this will have to do. Dont be surprised to find discussions of the same curries under different countries, from experience I can tell you that a Vindaloo cooked in London is vastly different to one cooked in Bangkok or Brisbane for that matter. With that being said I have a love for fusion foods, that is the mix of one country's recipe with local ingredients. This all stems from the Malaysian Indian (Indian food cooked in Malaysaia) and was only reinforced by Indian Chinese on my most recent visit to South India.
Although not solely focused on curry, it is our opinion that an overview of the countries cuisine sheds light on how and why that country has developed to produce curries in the fashion that they have.
