The Product

S&B,s Tasty Curry Sauce Mix is basically a roux which you break up into a stew to add curry flavor. These are particularly common in Japanese style curries and curry sauces from English fish and chip shops. This particular brand is Japanese and comes in three different categories, Mild, Medium hot and Hot. For the taste test we chose the Hot variety, of course, and followed the instructions creating a Japanese Beef Curry. 

The Result

It was not horrible, and for those looking for a quick easy meal it would probably suffice but if package has a flavor it must be one of those listed in ingredients for this product. As for the promise of hot it is, well my 3 year old munched it down without cracking a sweat. In order to make it more palatable I covered it with Tabasco sauce, Which went very well with it. If asked would I have it again, well if I felt lazy and it was the only brand available. I would not hesitate to try an alternate brand of a similar product, but it serves a spot in the cupboard.
