The Curry Pot aims to bring together the best curries from all over the world, even England, to form the worlds number one destination for one of the worlds favorite cuisines. An initiative of Mick Barber, who developed a love for Curries and Asian cuisine while growing up in Singapore. Dragged kicking and screaming back to Australia he was forced to learn how to cook or slowly starve to death on a diet of boiled potatoes and pumpkin (aka by his sister as Just Dinner). Fortunately his mother had the good sense to learn how to cook much of the food that was on offer in the multicultural epicenter that is Singapore. For the last 20 years Mick has been tracking down recipes, traveling insistently across all of Southern and South East Asia, taking great pleasure in sampling as much of the food these countries have to offer. Of course many people have now contributed to make what this site is today. Not the least of course being his three year old son who runs around pointing out Curry Paste to any and everyone. |
